Commissioning, verification & handover
Review of commissioning information, defined test witnessing, integrated system responses and handover records within the agreed appointment

Engineering services (Commissioning & handover)
Commissioning brings together the installed systems, their controls and the operational requirements. The required tests, responsible parties and acceptance evidence should be defined before completion. Integrated functions are particularly important where detection, alarms, suppression, ventilation and other building services act together.
The engineering appointment may include review of commissioning plans, witnessing defined tests or technical close-out support. It does not replace the installer’s responsibilities, specialist certification or statutory approvals. The scope should clearly distinguish observations from comprehensive verification.
Scope of expertise
The appointment is defined around the facility, available information and required project outcomes. Relevant services can include:
- Commissioning strategy and test-document review
- Defined witnessing of system or integrated functional tests
- Cause-and-effect and connected-system verification requirements
- Review of test records, as-built information and outstanding matters
- Operations, maintenance and handover-document requirements
- Technical support for completion and close-out within the agreed role
Design and deliverables
We identify the required evidence, review the planned verification activities and provide the agreed technical involvement. Findings and outstanding items are recorded so that responsibilities for resolution remain clear.
Review or witnessing records
Documents and engineering information appropriate to the defined appointment and project stage.
Handover evidence and outstanding-item requirements
Recorded findings, requirements and matters for resolution by the responsible parties.
Project information
Provide the design basis, approved system information, test plans, cause-and-effect schedules and proposed handover records. Agree attendance, witnessing and reporting responsibilities in advance.
The scope, deliverables, site involvement and responsibilities are confirmed for each appointment.
